Prenatal and Postnatal Health
Physiotherapy is extremely crucial before and after the process of childbirth (pregnancy). With our dedicated therapists for Pelvic Health for women, we have you covered. Check out our clinic locations at Clarkson Go , Mississauga and Etobicoke and join us for your healthcare ritual
Prenatal physiotherapy:
Prenatal physiotherapy may involve exercises and techniques to help prepare the body for childbirth, such as pelvic floor exercises and breathing exercises.
Our therapists provide guidance on safe and effective exercise during pregnancy, as well as advice on managing common pregnancy-related issues such as back pain, pelvic pain, and urinary incontinence.
Prenatal physiotherapy can also help women with a history of pelvic floor dysfunction or other musculoskeletal issues prepare for childbirth and reduce the risk of complications during delivery.
Postnatal Physiotherapy:
Postpartum physiotherapy can help women recover from the physical changes that occur during pregnancy and childbirth, including pelvic floor dysfunction, diastasis recti (abdominal muscle separation), and back pain.
Our physiotherapist provides guidance on safe and effective exercise and rehabilitation after delivery, as well as advice on managing issues such as urinary incontinence and pelvic pain.
At Alleviate Physiotherapy Postnatal care also includes manual therapy, massages, and pain management techniques like acupuncture and dry needling to reduce pain and promote healing.
We at Alleviate Physiotherapy, work with our clients to develop a customized treatment plan that best meets their needs. Our goal is to help clients relieve pain, and improve their condition. Prenatal and postnatal physiotherapy can be valuable tools for promoting the health and well-being of women during and after pregnancy.
