What is Whiplash Injury?
Whiplash injury is a neck injury. It happens when the head is jerked forward and then backward suddenly and forcefully. This causes damage to the neck’s soft tissues, such as muscles, ligaments, and tendons. Car accidents are the most common cause of whiplash injuries. They can also result from workplace injuries, sports injuries, falls, and physical assaults. Symptoms of whiplash injury can include neck pain, headache, dizziness, fatigue, and difficulty concentrating. What are the effects of Whiplash injury?
Whiplash injury can have several effects on the body, including:
- Neck pain and stiffness: Whiplash injury can cause pain and stiffness in the neck, making it difficult to move the head in certain directions.
- Headaches : Whiplash injury can cause headaches, especially at the base of the skull.
